MarketFinance

2014 – 2021

Various projects

MarketFinance (now known as Kriya) is a business finance company. They deliver business finance solutions using smart technology, backed byhelp from real people, so entrepreneurs can get on with growing their business. I’ve worked on a wide-range of freelance projects for them including brochures, emails, internal comms, reports, event materials, website designs, DMs and social campaigns.

Below is a small sample of work.

Campaigns

As businesses continued to navigate the challenges of COVID-19, we launched a competition inviting deserving businesses to apply for a £5,000 funding boost.

I developed a campaign identity centred on the founders behind these businesses, using a hand-drawn, vibrant visual style to convey optimism, resilience and a scrappy, can-do spirit.

I also designed the digital submission process, setting up VideoAsk to collect and manage video applications

External communications

Out of home

A one-off outdoor advertising spot opportunity proved an opportunity to put out a cheeky message that might make a passerby think twice about boring business finance.

Introducer guide

Brochure titled 'A Guide for Introducers' featuring a group of diverse people working at computers in an office setting.

A step-by-step guide for brokers to help them understand the MarketFinance process, from application to funding, in order for them to best advise their clients.

Internal communications

New joiner pack

A little pack of treats to send to new joiners before they start.
The pack includes a notebook, laptop stickers, a pair of socks and a lanyard.

Shoreditch guide

A printed guide to the local highlights for new joiners so they can get to know the area. The entries were suggested by current employees who were experts on the best coffee shops and cocktail joints.

Events and conferences

MarketFinance likes to do things a little differently and at big events they try to stand out.

They’ve done the standard conference fare of shell scheme stands and leaflets, but also delved into ice cream carts, coffee huts and even a branded vending machine that dispensed MarketFinance socks.

A newsletter or marketing email from MarketFinance promoting five ways to enhance a firm's marketing with a blue theme. It features an illustration of a woman working on a laptop with social media icons (Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook) and code symbols, alongside a plant. The email emphasizes online visibility and includes a call-to-action button labeled 'Read now'.
A newsletter from Market Finance titled 'Your Sunday Reading List' featuring four articles about financial topics and work from home strategies, with illustrations of a woman reading on a boat, a woman working on a laptop sitting on a bean bag, a man walking on a globe, and social media icons at the bottom.

Website design

The MarketFinance website was built on the Contentful but, as a legacy hangover from a previous CMS, their blog was built on WordPress and sat separately to the main marketing site. To combine these into a smoother experience for our customers, I created a design for the blog in the style of the marketing site and worked with external developers to build and roll this out.
